(Giraffe Permanent Recruitment Specialists Ltd) was created back in 2006 as a result of feedback from extensive market research undertaken with 3 groups of individuals, each of whom had experienced dealing with traditional 'old-school' recruitment businesses – and wanted more.
1) Clients (who stated) – "It'd be great to deal with a regional business that employed experienced recruitment professionals, that are still with the business the next time you contact them with a recruitment requirement. What we really want is value and a personal service, not just to be handed a bunch of cv's to sift through, and receive a hefty bill".
2) Candidates (who stated) – "We'd like to deal with an agency that keeps in contact with us, understands our needs and puts in the effort to find the right career move for us. Not to be left feeling used and suspecting we were only offered the most appropriate opportunity they were aware of at the time we registered with them. We want to deal with recruitment professionals who seek out what we're looking for, and provide feedback at all stages".
3) Consultants (who stated) – "We'd love to work as part of a team of professionals who uphold high ethical values, and invest time & money in training and marketing. We want to work smart in a mature environment, that allows us to focus our time and energy on candidates and clients - we want to work for a business where passion, intuition and flair are recognised. Above all we want to work in a business that specialises in permanent recruitment.
So we did it! It took a while, as the course we had set ourselves was unchartered and different for sure.
