Are you an experienced people manager with considerable experience within the recruitment/staffing sector? Then this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for to join a company that’s growing at a phenomenal pace.

Our partner-client is the UK’s leading provider of IT Support training to 16-25 year olds and the largest Microsoft Academy in Europe. Their training is delivered through a network of 23+ Academies across England that has allowed them to help around 2,000 young people progress in their IT careers every year. They expect learner numbers to double during the nest 12 months.

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the role of Employment Manager is responsible for managing the placement of 5,000 apprentices per annum through a team of consultants, into full time employment. The overall aim being for learners to find employment in the IT sector within two months of successful completion of their IT apprenticeship programmes. The Employment Manager will work with directors and senior management and potential employers and employment agencies to ensure that company targets and objectives for employing learners are achieved.

This exciting role will suit an experienced & quantifiably successful recruitment management professional, with an understanding of the IT support sector, who is educated to degree level, possessing experience of dealing with Public Sector organisations. Well versed in working closely and cohesively with senior internal stake-holders, operating at your best within a fast-paced & dynamic environment, confident and able to conduct presentations delivering a clear and consistent message, and experienced in target setting with a record of delivery against targets. Make no mistake this is a seriously big job for a serious career professional.

Other accountabilities will include;- To lead, manage and support two field based teams, and one office based telephone support team, to ensure that they are able to fulfill their roles and responsibilities. To define, develop and implement processes that ensure sufficient vacancies are created to place learners in employment within two months from successful completion of their IT apprenticeship programmes. Ensure that academy learners receive coaching and support from the Employment teams (involving both 1:1 and group coaching on CV preparation and interview techniques to take place prior to them gaining employment). Develop relationships with key employers and employment agencies to provide long term, high volume employment opportunities for learners.
