Purpose of the Role
To secure new business through successful bidding and tendering.

Job Criteria

Identify and analyse appropriate bid opportunities using a variety of sources and making recommendations to the executive managements team.
Monitor market context and gather market intelligence to facilitate effective bidding and potential business partnerships and acquisitions.
Establish and update company data, case studies and model answers.
To lead and support, research, write and coordinate the completion and uploading of 'Expressions of Interest', 'Pre-qualification Questionnaires' and 'Invitations of Tender' documentation.
Manage day to day coordination of bid project teams.
Evaluate the quality of contributions to bids by colleagues, editing copy to ensure high standards and script in line with tender requirements.
Utilise effective and efficient means of tracking bid contributions and progress chasing of bid writing. Maintain a log of bidding activity which is capable of analysis.
Formulate the pricing of tenders in liaison with the finance team and Director.
Work with Operations and Finance Managers to establish and develop preferred supplier chains.
Assess and contract with external bid writers as appropriate, coordinating their input into the project team.
Contribute to the development and extension of partnership working ensuring strategic fit and to open up further successful bidding opportunities or joint ventures.
Communicate and liaise with local, regional and national partners and agencies to promote and support business developments.
Support the delivery of presentations and supplier meetings during and after the bidding process.
Formulate the pricing of tenders in liaison with the finance team and Director.


NON NEGOTIABLE
Work experience within the WBL industry
Understanding of bid management and Public Sector procurement practices including SFA and DWP.

DESIRABLE
Graduate/ post graduate or business qualification.
