Being stockists of all of the major sports brands, as well as brands and product ranges which are exclusive to the company. They cater for active sports participants supplying products for customers simply seeking leisure and casual wear.
This leading High-Street brand is looking now looking to strengthen their Marketing function with the appointment of an exceptional 'sports retail' marketeer, joining the team as Marketing Manager for the Local Marketing, Partnerships & PR (Local) side of the Marketing function for the operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 'sports retail marketeer' who understands how to develop and deliver cost effective marketing campaigns, who can deliver measurable return on investment (ROI) and support the delivery of business KPI's.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all elements of the marketing campaign from development through to execution and will be the key contact, responsible for the delivery of end result, including seeking appropriate engagement and approval from key stakeholders.
As Marketing Manager you will be comfortable with responsibility for the end to end campaign process and therefore the following knowledge, skills and attitude will read like a dream for you:
Planning, briefing (creative, print, media), schedules and critical paths, stakeholder management, approvals process, internal communication, post campaign analysis & recommendations, budget management and cost control.
A track record of delivering against agreed KPI's (including budget and sales accountability)
Good understanding of the creative, artwork and production process
Able to achieve excellence, prioritise according to optimum business benefit, within challenging timeframes, responding in a positive manner to a fast moving environment.
Demonstrates a solutions focused approach with high energy, enthusiasm and tenacity and the ability to challenge appropriately and influence as required to achieve the brief
You will have excellent verbal communication skills with the confidence to present campaign proposals and creative concepts to multiple and senior stakeholders; a customer centric approach to every campaign. You will be a proven complete finisher who can develop strategic thinking and rapid response action planning and delivery; able to work at pace and thrive in a high pressured and demanding environment; demonstrate creative flair and a passion for marketing / advertising. Confident problem solving, resource investigation and independent decision making skills.
To ensure your application really stands out from the crowd, you MUST demonstrate at least 4-5 years of retail marketing experience (ideally from within sports retail) with exposure to a broad marketing mix. You will have a minimum 2 years experience at Manager level with proven people management experience, with Marketing degree and ideally CIM qualified.
