Due to an ever expanding client portfolio and order book, they are currently looking to strengthen their installations team with an additional highly skilled mechanically biased Site Fitter.
As a Site Fitter, you will primarily be involved in providing technical support and field service as necessary to support plant installation, commissioning, equipment maintenance, repair, rebuild, troubleshooting, operator training and warranty commitments. You will complete assigned activities under the direction of the Installation Supervisor.
To be considered for the role, suitable candidates must to be qualified to at least City & Guilds level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and be able to demonstrate significant experience of installing, repairing or maintaining technical, or capital equipment within the Wastewater industry. However, candidates that have worked in similar capital process plant and equipment installation environments will be given due consideration.
You will be able to work effectively and safely from drawings with welding equipment, power tools, chemicals and various materials as necessary to perform field service work. You must have a good level of physical fitness as the role will also involve working at heights and in confined spaces. Experience in the use of overhead cranes and a variety of lifting equipment is preferred and field experience would be highly advantageous as there will be regular visits to customer, supplier and job sites. Therefore, the un-restricted ability to travel and spend time away from home for long periods is also highly desirable, along with a clean driving licence.
