This role requires a proactive individual with ambition and a passion for people development and a "can do" attitude and occupational experience within the hospitality industry. Working within hospitality apprenticeship programmes for a leading hospitality company, you will be responsible for assessing learners in the work place on embedded Skills for Life programmes. Creating ILP's (individual learning plans), setting learning targets and supporting candidates through initial assessments on-line. On a one to one basis or by telephone and webinar, you will be helping learners prepare for adult literacy and numeracy/functional skills assessments and invigilating exams.
With a teaching qualification of PTLLS or above you will have delivered Skills for Life / Functional Skills - adult Literacy & Numeracy to learners in a previous role and hold a relevant literacy / numeracy qualification at level 3 or above. Preferably A1 (Assessor award) qualified you will have Assessed NVQ's in Hospitality and have experience of delivering apprenticeships. Candidates that are D34/V1 qualified and/or have experience in delivering NVQ's in Retail and Customer Service will be highly advantageous.
Non negotiables for this role are good communication and excellent IT skills, well developed written and oral skills along with a flexible and reliable approach to responsibilities. A self motivator with an outgoing personality and ability to work on your own initiative with exceptional organisational skills. Candidates must be subject to a CRB check and must hold a full UK Driving Licence and will expected to travel to visit learners in the South East region although you will be allocated learners in your region (Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, Berkshire).
