An Established and well respected Training Provider of over 40 years in the business boasting Investors In People and Matrix accreditations - our client specialises in helping young people wishing to follow apprenticeships, foundation and work-based programmes assisting them move into employment or further education. This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for people development who is able to engage with young people as they embark on an ICT apprenticeship programme. Focusing upon delivering a high quality service to learners, motivating and supporting them with their personal development you will mentor individuals, assessing young people on pre apprenticeship and technical apprenticeship programmes along with liaising with employers.
A1 or D32/D33 qualified you will have experience delivering both classroom based learning and assessing NVQ/QCF qualifications in the work place. You will have assessed technical ICT programmes in a previous role and have thorough understanding of fault diagnosis with PC systems, installing, configuring and updating software, testing systems, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis along with understanding server networks. Knowledge and undertaking scoping areas such as CompTia A+ and Microsoft Technical Specialist is desirable. Candidates that hold a teaching qualification (PTLLS or equivalent) will be highly advantageous.
Non negotiables for this role are good communication and IT skills, well developed written and oral skills along with a flexible and reliable approach to responsibilities. A self motivator with an outgoing personality and ability to work on your own initiative with good organisational skills.
Candidates will be subject to an enhanced CRB check and will need to hold a full UK driving licence to travel to visit learners around Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
